Future Proofing
As many of the careers our children will pursue are yet to be invented, it is not enough to just teach our pupils. They must be made ‘future proof’.
At St. James’, through the adoption of child-centred pedagogies, our children are engaged in the ways they want to learn, building an education without obstacles to progress.
No longer seen as the transference of knowledge from teacher to pupil, education is a lifelong process beginning at our earliest awakenings and transitioning throughout our lives and careers. Learning is more than an institutional practice; it is a highly desirably pattern of behaviour, enriching each of us, our families, and our wider communities.
Embedded within our teaching and curriculum, St. James’ seeks to develop the ‘skills that don’t expire’.
